[ Archived ] Spain to Caribbean Jan 2019 Spain to Cayman Islands ref 10489

Christopher Bromley wants 2 crew for To be renamed, Amel Super Maramu, m.

From Vigo, Spain to George Town, Cayman Islands.

January 2019 to February 2019.

Intending to set sail from Vigo, Spain in mid January, final destination Cayman Islands. Will first head for Canaries, then probably Cape Verde Isles before going transatlantic. But itinerary is flexible. Vessel is an Amel Super Maramu, well equipped & seaworthy. Recent thorough overall of all main systems by builder after extensive cruising. Hope to find comfortable trade wind sailing to Caribbean.

Christopher is currently based in George Town, Cayman Islands

What roles/experience are needed (Crew 1): Watch-leader

What roles/experience are needed (Crew 2): does not matter

Sailing with a Rally: None

I'm looking for (gender): either

Cabins/Sleeping : own cabin-own bunk

Smoking on board: smoking allowed

Total people on board: 4

Crew roles: Need to be cheerful, enthusiastic & must be dependable watch keepers. Cooking skills an asset, but all expected to share chores. Boat fitted to take 8 persons so there is some choice of accommodation. Some flexibility on starting date & could join boat later, eg in Canaries. End date is no better than a guesstimate. This should be a pleasurable tradewind cruise, so I'm not looking for paid crew. Shared expenses in box below means I'm happy if crew are prepared to contribute something or nothing towards cost of living aboard but I do not expect crew to cover costs of running the ship eg fuel, repairs, insurance etc. Crew need to be responsible for their own repatriation, permits, visas, personal insurance & personal expenses. Re travel:open to discussion, but I don't want to pay for getting to & from boat from another continent or charter of helicopter to the marina. If you have your own favourite safety harness / life jacket, fishing tackle, sleeping bag, etc. then please bring it along.

Money: expenses shared equally

Travel to and from boat: crew pays
