[ closed ] South Pacific Panama to French Polynesia ref 12816

Paul Lemmens wants 1 crew for Veni Vidi Vixi, Hanse 455, m.

From Colon , Panama to Papeete , French Polynesia.

January 2021 to January 2021.

Ahoy We are looking for an able first mate to join our hearty crew! Forget COVID we are heading to the South Pacific! We are a Kiwi family of 5 with three kids. We’ve been sailing over a year since leaving Europe last year. Currently in Panama/San Blas. We’ll transit the Panama Canal at beginning of May and then head to Galapagos for a couple of weeks before sailing looong miles to French Polynesia (3,000nm/20 days), 1-2 week break, then another 2,000nm/12 days to Fiji. But happy if you just want to sail to French Polynesia only. If you are looking to build some serious miles, have ocean crossing experience, easy going but highly safety conscious then please get in touch. We are currently in Panama/ San Blas islands. Ideally Kiwi or Aussie single/couple preferred due to COVID restrictions in French Polynesia and Fiji, but feel free to contact us to discuss.

What roles/experience are needed (Crew 1): Watch-leader

Sailing with a Rally: Independent

I'm looking for (gender): either

Cabins/Sleeping : own cabin-own bunk

Smoking on board: non-smokers only

Total people on board: 6

Crew roles: You can see more about us on Facebook - sailingvenividivixi). For crew, we are looking for someone moderately experienced, reliable, VERY safety conscious and happy around kids/family. Our kids are super great, and totally happy at sea, but they are kids so there's the usual squabbles about toys, tidying up and size of desert portions! But we've had crew with us a few times now and they have always enjoyed cruising with us (we can provide references). You will need to be dependable, adaptable and really comfortable doing 3-4hr night watches alone (basically just chilling in cockpit and overseeing the yacht). You'll have your own cabin/toilet. You'll need to fully contribute to the yacht life - helping with sailing, cleaning, preparing meals etc Theres a bit of flexibility with dates prior to our departure from Panama - but you should plan to join the yacht around 1 May.

Money: expenses shared equally

Travel to and from boat: crew pays
