[ Cancelled ] Med, across Atlantic and Pacific to New Zealand United Kingdom to New Zealand ref 13776

wants 2 crew for Lady J, Jeanneau Sun Odyssey 45 DS, m.

From West Mediterranean , United Kingdom to North island , New Zealand.

September 2022 to November 2023.

We are a couple who have been crewing on Marcel’s boat for over a month now, regretfully we are now having to go home for personal reasons (nothing to do with the boat or the crew). We want to help Marcel find our replacement. He is a great captain, an extremely kind man who likes to share the decision making process meaning we’ve all felt that this is our trip, not just his. He is 44 and from New Zealand. Jordan, the other crew member is a mature 24 from Cape Town. Being very technically minded he has adopted the role as chief engineer, often problem solving and finishing jobs where paid local specialists have giving up. We are currently on board in Sicily, leaving today for Sardinia, a few days there then over to Majorca, Ibiza, Gibraltar, down to the canaries late September / early October, across to the Carribean in November, thru the Panama canal, then across the pacific via the Galapagos to Marcel’s home of New Zealand, planning to arrive November 2023. He needs people to join as soon as possible, preferably 2 people who can share a cabin and the longer you can stay the better. You will be sharing watch shifts, helping with provisioning and cooking and other boat duties, helping research anchorages and passage plan and generally having a great time! This is a brilliant opportunity which we can highly recommend. We are incredibly sad to be leaving.
