Hi there, A quick introduction: We're a married couple aged 36 and 41 and each with over 2,000 sea miles. We have positive, friendly attitudes, are fit, good swimmers, confident in the kitchen and more than anything - hardworking and eager to learn! In normal life I’m an Art Director and Davy is a Sculptor. We live on a lovely widebeam narrowboat in west London and we both work freelance in the film industry. Over our winter break of 2018/19 we went to Malaysia and acquired our RYA Comp Crew, we then went on to Thailand to gain our RYA Day Skipper certificate. We absolutely adored the experience so in November 2019 we joined 2 other crew members on a 50’ lagoon catamaran and sailed from north of Gibraltar to Tenerife. We did watch shifts, learned more about ocean sailing and did all the provisioning and cooking for the 4 of us under sail over the 5 day passage. With an obvious break for a certain virus, we then took to the seas again in 2021, where we enjoyed a 41’ monohull to ourselves as part of a floatilla with Sunsail from Dubrovnik, Croatia. This was great training for us to skipper on our own so after getting married, in July 2022 we bareboat chartered and went solo for 3 weeks from Corfu on a 33’ Sun Odyssey, zig zagging down from Corfu between Paxos and the mainland and into the beautiful South Ionian. We then decided we weren’t ready to fly home and instead found crewing positions, firstly on a 47' Baltic Monohull from Gibraltar to Ibiza, then onto a 45’ Jeanneau to take what turned out to be a 7 week adventure from Turkey back to the Balarics. Again being responsible for watch shifts, most of the provisioning and cooking and this time helping the captain with sail planning, boat maintenance and admin as it was a much longer trip. We are super keen to spend more long periods between freelance commitments learning more on all varieties of sail boat, to mile build and just enjoy time on the water, hopefully before life at sea becomes something more permanent for us allowing us to swap our narrowboat home for a wind powered vessel! We'd love to help out on any adventure so please get in touch. We really look forward to hearing form you. Alice and Davy
