From Halifax, Canada to Halifax, Canada.

October 2022 to June 2023.

I plan to leave Halifax in mid-October, 2022 and follow the coast to the Bahamas, stopping in Newport, RI, and Norfolk, VA. Will leave Norfolk early November, take the ICW inside Hatteras and then stay outside to Florida and across, arriving Bahamas late November, early December. I may leave the boat there and return for the holidays, or may stay on. Then explore further south in Bahamas, and head north again in April to arrive in Nova Scotia early June, 2023. So there will be two voyages to join, spent mostly covering miles, south and north, and also a few months exploring the Bahamas at a leisurely pace, maybe staying a week or more in a place we like. I expect to have a variety of crew signing on for different periods, so your dates can be flexible.

Crew roles: I'm looking for strong, agile, energetic crew, who can read radar, plot a course and position on a chart, do plotter navigation, and hand, reef and steer. Some spots for less experienced people eager to learn these skills may be available. Some cleaning and maintenance work from time to time. I cover all boat related costs (fuel, berthing, fees, gear etc.) and ask crew to cover their own groceries and travel. I'm not much of a cook, so cooking ability and willingness is a plus. If you smoke I'll ask you to smoke only on deck in a place where smoke does not get below.
