| I grew up sailing small wooden boats on Cape Cod, Massachusetts, and have sailed all my life. (I'm 68) I've taught sailing at private clubs on San Francisco Bay, sailed as Mate on various tall ships (Pride of Baltimore II, Harvey Gammage, Corwith Cramer, among others) with 500T Ocean Mate ticket, and founded and ran for 12 years the Nova Scotia Sea School, building wooden boats with teenagers and going on Outward Bound-style voyages with them along the Nova Scotia Coast. I've translated my crew-building experience into corporate leadership development work, and written a book called "Keep Your People in the Boat." I sailed my boat to the Bahamas and back in the winter of 2017-18, and plan to go again this winter, 2022-23. | |
