Vincent Mattiola wants 3 crew for Outremer 51, Outremer 51, m.

From Ft. Lauderdale, United States to St. John's, Antigua & Barbuda.

to .

We will be sailing from Ft. Lauderdale, FL to St. John's, Antigua and are looking to fill several crew positions for this training passage / miles building opportunity. The vessel will be coming from Annapolis, MD in the weeks prior (with separate crew) then undertaking "the Thorny Route" to Antigua via The Bahamas; expecting largely upwind conditions. Given the uniquely performance-oriented nature of the vessel, we'll be running the trip as a training opportunity which will include celestial navigation, advanced sail handling & trim, and yacht systems management under the instruction of a USCG 100ton Master Captain with 70,000+ nm of logged offshore experience and instruction. The goals of the passage are to be safe, have fun, and help crew build their confidence and competence offshore on this great yacht. There is a fee for the passage which will cover all aspects of the trip including: food & drinks, fuel, consumables, insurance, training materials, safety equipment, and carbon offset of crew travel. The Outremer 51 is a supremely unique "cruising" catamaran with carbon rigging and sails, all new electronics and equipment, and lifting daggerboards for enhanced pointing. This is an Owner's Version yacht with 2 double cabins and 2x single berths so hot-bunking will be required. A complete Passage Plan is available for your review, and we will arrange a video call to meet virtually and discuss the trip and your sailing goals in more detail. Please email me ([email protected]) for more information and attach your sailing resume or a brief note on your background & interests.

This yacht operates on the basis of equal opportunity and shared values without discrimination of gender, race, ethnicity, religion, or any other personal preference, and acceptance of these terms is to be dutifully accepted by all crew.
