I'm seeking a crew position on ARC 2023 or similar ocean crossing - I'm comfortable watch leading and happy to do all tasks needed. I'm easy going and keen to help make your crossing a fantastic trip before going on to do my own with my family in 2024. I'm well trained and experienced across a range of monohulls and catamarans 40-50f. Having grown up on and around the water, I have re-engaged with sailing in recent years, getting my formal training and qualifications (ASA101-108, comparable to RYA yachtmaster offshore I believe). I'm married and a father of 3 great kids. I'm easy going and a non-smoking, fit and happy to do all tasks onboard, and am pretty used to helping fix those things that invariably break under passage. I enjoy being part of a team and meeting new people and cultures. As well as English I speak fluent French (and conversational Greek that ought to be better!) and have lived in the UK, France, Switzerland, Greece and the US. I'm looking to build my offshore experience in advance of a 2024/2025 sabbatical with my family. After a pretty busy corporate career for the last 20+ years I will be taking a career break from October 23 to advance our sailing journey, and hope to join the ARC 23 or a similar ocean crossing around that time before starting our family trip in 2024. | |
