Experience: 250 ocean miles / 250 coastal miles
My wife and I sold our house in St Augustine, FL and moved to Huntsville, AL so she could pursue a job opportunity here. The sale of our house has given me the luxury to pursue my goal of gaining more passage making and open water sailing experiences with the hopes of one day turning it into a career. Worst case scenario I meet a bunch of like minded people, gain a bunch of sailing knowledge and have a really good time along the way. I was a finish contractor (custom cabinets, built ins) for 8 years with a year of geographic information systems (what I studied in college) before we left St Augustine. I was an organic farmer before all of that and consider myself a very capable person with a lot of different and unique skills. I would consider myself a competent and proficient sailor and I'm a fast learner who's easy to get along with. I enjoy cooking and have knowledge of vegan, vegetarian, gluten free and other culinary styles with diet restrictions and allergies. I personally have no dietary restrictions or allergies. - United States Marine Corp Infantry Veteran - Honorable Discharge - Bachelor's Degree Geography and Urban Planning - Florida State University
