Greetings. I am an early retired international lawyer (fifty plus countries). I just finished (June 2022) a Martinique to Newport, RI trip aboard an Amel 53. Prior to that, a jaunt about the Pearl Islands in the Gulf of Panama aboard a Fontaine Paget. Before that an unfortunately aborted Hawaii to Seattle trip when a rigging breakdown four days out required a return. A Detroit to NYC gig. Three weeks about the Marquesas succeeded a Panama to Marquesas passage aboard a Lagoon 450. Prior to that it was a Chilean fjords passage (three months in transit). My first passage was when still young. A Hawaii to California passage, US citizen. Fully vaccinated. Experienced racer (club, state, national). Experienced cruiser (multiple bareboat — Hawaii [8 trans-channels, interisland], Caribbean [3x, multi week, first mate and captain], Tonga and Turkey. Over 100 nights on the ocean. Hundreds of solo night watch hours. First mate, crew chief and crew. Over 13K NM oceanic. | |
