| I retired from my family medicine practice in 2006 at age 53 to travel. I have now been to 132 countries on my way to 197 and need countries, some in the areas listed. I am healthy, like to work, cook, hike, dive (PADI advanced), and have a healthy curiosity about the world. I have zero sailing experience but am a keen learner. I have sea kayaked for 20+ years with extensive experience on open water on the west coast of British Columbia including surf and simply being on the water. I understand all kayak navigation issues (tides, currents, weather) and this at least gives me confidence being on the water.
