Rod Dunlop Brown, male, 62

Ref 43606

Nationality: United Kingdom
Currently based in: London, United Kingdom
Looking for: Worldwide opportunities
Experience: 500 ocean miles / 2000 coastal miles
Alternating between corporate warrior (McKinsey, Tesco, John Lewis Partnership) and entrepreneur I am in the process of starting (another) new business but due to timing I have lots of flexibility over the next six months. Married with children 20 & 21 at university and a wife moving to Germany, I'm even more flexible, so indulging in a longer passage or two sailing has to be done. I'm educated (MA Economics, MBA London Business School), erudite and have done a fair share of lecturing and management education. I have a keen sense of humour, know how to rough it as well as how to hold my knife and fork. I served in the Royal Navy, was a Royal Aide de Camp and I'm pretty familiar with ships, navigation and seamanship. The Navy also taught me to mix a good gin and tonic. As for sailing (which I love) I have a lot of coastal and offshore experience but my ocean passages have been in aircraft carriers, frigates and submarines! I'm pretty sure I can lead a watch in a sailboat. I've put "smoker" in the profile - I love an occasional rolll up on the upper deck and don't have a perceptible daily or weekly consumption! I've not put links to other social media as I only use LinkedIN.
