Looking for: | Caribbean; |
Experience: | 1400 ocean miles / 1200 coastal miles |
I would describe myself as an enthusiastic Day Skipper with reasonable sailing experience, apart from the initial courses, I have learned the practical stuff myself. I am very keen to learn as much as I can. I charter and skipper bareboats a couple of times a year, mainly in the Carribean, but have chartered four or five times in the Med. I can handle a yacht but I would like to expand my sailing experience. Long term dream is to get my own yacht and sail the oceans. A very fit and healthy 59 year old who has retired after running my own transport and warehousing business for the last 30 years. Before this I was a paratrooper for seven years and I still retain the can do attitude you would expect and am certainly not afraid of getting my hands dirty. A great team member, very easy to get on with, good in a crisis, excellent sense of humour and a willingness to do any task required on board. I would like to bring my own fishing rod and lures to help feed the crew! I am not scared of hard work or any task however challenging or menial. Bosun's chair and night watches no problem. | |
Smoking: | non-smoker |
Relationship status: | married |
Dietary requirements: | None really. I prefer some foods to others, ie not a lover of strong cheese! I am not allergic to anything and will eat most things. |
