I am an enthusiastic coastal skipper seeking to build experience with longer in increasingly challenging passages and races to become a versatile and confident offshore skipper. In return for having me as an involved and learning member of your team, I actively take part in ensuring a safe, enjoyable, and memorable journey. Besides the required sailing gear, I always carry with me my sense of humor, my engineering pragmatism, and my all-round cooking skills. In 2016 I obtained my coastal cruising license from US Sailing and in 2023 I also added the Belgium General Sailing & Motoring license to my resume, including ICC ICMS, VHF License and RYA Sea Survival Certification. To date I have over 1500 miles of sailing experience, mostly as coastal skipper, and captain. I built my miles in the Mediterranean (Croatia, Greece, Italy) in the Caribbean (BVI) and in the North Sea (Belgium, The Netherlands). I sail monohulls in the 38-46ft range. On a personal note, I love working in teams made by people with diverse talents and backgrounds, working together to get stuff done. Mutual trust and respect are core values to me.
