| I am an enthusiastic sailor who started out in Optimists at 10 years old at my local club. I soon fell in love with the sport and moved into double handers with my childhood best friend, who I helmed with for the rest of my teens! We ended up in a 420, and although it was always about having fun on the water, we gave the others in the fleet a good run for their money! More recently, I have explored yacht racing. I completed my RYA Day Skipper in 2021 and since then have been practicing on my dads Westerly Konsort 29. We sailed back from St Just in Roseland, Cornwall, and have done lots of pottering about in Chichester Harbour and out in the Solent. Last year, I participated in Cowes Week in a Sunbeam for the first two days, and then moved into a Sigma 33 because my real passion is being part of a larger crew on a cruising yacht. I loved the experience, and now that I I am about to graduate from the University of Bristol with a BA in History with Innovation, predicted 2:1, I want to continue to build experience and gain miles. I am keen to take any opportunity that comes my way! | |
