| I will retire at the end of October 2023 and am keen to get some experience of blue water sailing, plus my wife cannot have me at home all the time after I retire. I would like to get enough experience before I take the plunge and get my own boat and head off to do some blue water sailing. I have a Day Skipper (theory and practical) which I have used to charter boats (monohulls and cats) for 2 week summer family cruising holidays in one of Croatia, Greece, Turkey since 2013. I have passed the theory for Coastal and Oceanmaster which I took during Covid lockdown but haven't had time to get the miles in and take the practical I am reasonably fit, have GSH (doesn't everyone ?) and other interests are skiing, cycling, swimming, walking, weights, reading, watching England cricket, England rugby (both) and Man United (God this makes it sound like I am applying for some weird dating website). | |
