I am a proud owner of an OE 32 and have completed a 20-day offshore sailing course off the coast of Scotland. I´m currently (Nov 23 of 2023) mid Atlantic on my way to Grenada as crew on a First 53 in the ARC+. While I consider myself adept, I am always eager to learn and grow, and cherish every opportunity to do so. I am both a competent sailor and an ever-curious student of the sea. As a field doctor, my profession has steered me towards challenging terrains, from the icy and remote landscapes of northern Norway to the expansive savannas of Africa. These experiences, while on land, have cultivated in me a resilience, adaptability, and a composed demeanour even in unpredictable circumstances - qualities that I carry with me into my sailing endeavours. Having raised three children who are now embarking on their own life's journeys, I deeply understand and respect the intimate and communal nature of life aboard a smaller vessel. I bring with me a spirit of cooperation, respect, joy, and an appreciation for the shared human experience. While I'm not a proficient diver, I do possess several diving certificates. My interests also extend to meditation, fitness, and personal/spiritual development. I nurture a dream of circumnavigating the globe in my own boat. I am currently seeking opportunities to amass experience and knowledge before taking the leap on my own. I eagerly anticipate the possibility of sailing with you, sharing in the quiet moments, the laughter, the challenges, and the collective victories that epitomize the splendor of a seafaring journey. | |
