| We are sustainability researchers Italian and US American, a philosopher and a designer, novice sailors with a new-to-us '83 British-made offshore racing ketch. We are looking for crew to sail from Florida USA to Bahamas and after to cross the Atlantic west-est. The boat is seaworthy, 45', kevlar, 15tons, cutter ketch rig, built for round-Britain style shorthanded ocean races. It sails well, has big winches, a large working cockpit, safety and electronics equipment. Aft is a guest cabin plus a large salon midships, so optimally 2, maximum 3 additional people. We both got RYA Day Skipper licenses in 2021 but we don't have a lot of days, nights or miles logged, therefore we would prefer to make this journey together with some more experienced sailors.
