I retired from the US Navy and am seeking opportunities to log offshore hours and learn everything there is to learn about sailing! My husband and I plan to sell everything and trade our home for a liveaboard once all of our children have "launched" (one down, three to go!). I've been sailing for about four years now; we have taken ASA courses 101, 103, 104, and 114 and have bareboat chartered catamarans in Florida and the BVI. We have competed for three seasons in weekly races aboard other captains' boats and have participated as crew on an offshore passage from The Bahamas to Virginia (standing night watches and cooking for crew). My skillset includes planning and organization, provisioning, day/night watch standing, cooking, cleaning, morale boosting, SCUBA, and karaoke. I have lived all over the world, and love to meet new people!
