Hello! It's great to see you are interested in my profile and thanks for taking the time to read about me. I am a 'young', fit 58-year-old taking an extended sabbatical from my day job (midwife/lecturer) and looking for worldwide sailing opportunities. I am a very active person, having grown up in Cornwall, UK, which is by the sea, I enjoy many sports including, Yoga, cycling, hiking, dinghy sailing, kayaking, windsurfing, body boarding and distance swimming. I have been fortunate enough to have had some wonderful sailing opportunities already. I have crossed the Atlantic twice, once in 2019 and again in 2022. I have also crewed on the World ARC on two occasions, once in 2018 in the South Pacific and again in 2020 for seven months, starting the World ARC 2020 in St Lucia. However, due to Covid restrictions and the boat being unable to continue Westwards I was unable to continue. I am currently in St Lucia after crossing with the ARC Atlantic. I am looking for worldwide opportunities, preferably with the World ARC 2023. I have no family or work commitments at present and hold an EU passport, am therefore very flexible regarding the duration of passages. I am hardworking, easy to get along with, a good cook and good at cooking at sea, have lots of experience, and have a very good sense of humour. I am keen to join a safe and friendly fun boat and feel I have a lot to offer as a member of crew and look forward to lots of exciting new adventures. I would love to hear from any interested boats and I would love to chat to you if you would like any more information. Wishing you happy sailing, Lesley | |
