I'm 23, from Ireland, and I've just done my Yachtmaster shorebased course. I'm trying to build up more miles and the relevant experience to do the exam. I've spent the past two years fixing up a Miura 31 sailboat, and have been living on her while rebuilding her in Vancouver, Canada. Therefore, I'm familiar with most systems onboard. My buddy and I have a trip planned from Vancouver to Cabo San Lucas, Mexico this September (covid pending), so I'd like to get some more experience before doing that trip. I grew up sailing dinghies, and sailing along the west coast of Ireland with my family. I have a two week first aid course, and would be keen to help out with the navigation, and passage planning if needs be, more so to learn from you than anything! I'm used to cooking onboard, having lived on my own boat for almost two years. Doing a delivery from La Rochelle, France to Izmir, Turkey on a new Nautitech 46 Catamaran March 5th 2021, which should take about a month. | |
