| 30 years coastal cruising experience on a limited annual basis (2-3 weeks/year). Some longer passages in the Caribbean when I owned a leased-back Beneteau 38 there. Owned a 28' S2 sloop in the Great Lakes of the US for 7 years. 40 years inland lake scow racing experience. No offshore passage experience. Enthusiastic reader/student of offshore experiences had by others. Airline pilot by profession. Excellent health and fitness. Non smoker/non drinker. I hope to gain enough experience as crew on a competently staffed offshore vessel to move towards making passages of my own in the future. | |
