I am a 35 y.o. italian/british living on a beautiful mediterranean island, Sardinia. thanks to these crewing websites I already had quite a few enjoyable sailing experiences around the mediterranean, biscay and the canary islands. I enjoy every part of sailing and confident in all maneuvers (I hold the italian skippering licence and the rya coastal skipper practical) . I have finally completed a full refit of my sailing boat and now looking for some fun and enjoyable sailing with with nice and happy people who share the love for sea, nature, sailing and visiting places from a "local" perspective rather than just being a tourist. My last 3 experiences: Oct-Nov'16 -on a beautiful hallberg-rassy54- 1.600NM from Turkey to Spain. first 2 weeks 3 people on board, last 2 weeks just me and the captain. We went island hopping in south greece, sicily, sardinia and last few days around barcelona to find the best marina to leave the boat for the winter. April '16 - 1 week sailing (250nm) on the biscay coast (atlantic - west france) on a 33ft Elan just me and the owner (an Oxford research professor), only day sailing so I had the chance to get used with scheduling departures/arrivals according to tides so to be able to come in/out marinas. Nov'15 cruise/delivery (6 weeks) 1.500NM from Italy to Tenerife on a 43ft Elan. 2-handed first 3 weeks then joined by a 3rd crew member. Sailing 3/4 days legs between marinas to fill up water, ...etc. Absolutely loved it, (I love sailing at night till the sun rises, especially coastal) The owner was so welcoming and easygoing and it didn't take long to became good friends and still keep in touch. I enjoy marina hopping but also love night sailing. I am passionate about sailing, kitesurfing, surfing and kayaking. I have good maintenance skills - and I am a good Italian cook. (best onshore, but i can organize for some good simple food while on passage too). Looking forwards to have fun, meet new friends and visit new places! (and of course sail .-) Jimmy
