I’m retired and enjoy blue water sailing. My wife s a reluctant sailor, but always seems to be happy to get me out of the house for a month or two. I’m a non-smoker and only drink beer and wine when ashore, prior to 12 hours to cast-off. I always do my share of the meal prep. & cooking, cleaning and general boat maintenance and repair. I am certified in diesel maintenance by Yamar. My father always told me that if someone took me sailing, to always leave the boat better than I found it and I’d get invited back. I hold a Red Cross issued first aid certificate and a valid Safety at Sea certification. I have all the safety gear required for blue water sailing. I make friends easily and can accommodate the preferences and plans of others. I currently crew on a J-105 that races out of the Santa Barbara Yacht Club but am looking forward to finding a blue-water cruising opportunity Sailing references provided on request. Send me an e-mail and let’s see if I’m the right guy to accompany you on your adventure. Jim E Britsch | |
