| Hi, I'm James, I've been overhauling my Nicholson 38 Bluewater Cruiser for the past 5 years and I've signed her up to the ARC Portugal for 2024. I intend to do the ARC+ 2025 and I am looking to get an Atlantic crossing under my belt as a training run for that, then go cruising for a bit. The perfect scenario would be aboard a ketch, do the trip, tea and medals and then jump off to an AirBnb and head home. I have the following RYA certificates; Yachtmaster Theory, Day Skipper, Marine Diesel, Sea Survival, VHF, RYA Medical, etc. I'm handy in the galley and have good experience of working on boats including engines, etc. I've done some RORC racing. In my professional life I was a Chief Information Officer for a very large company for a decade, I have also been a CEO of my own firm. But now I'm semi retired without any commitments at all. | |
