I am relatively new to sailing, however, in the last three years have jumped in head first into sailing and it has become my passion. Three months after taking sailing lessons purchased and completely refurbished a Hunter 28. I have since sold it and bought a Hobie 33 for club racing in Lake Pontchartrain. Last year raced /crewed on Tiare (Cal 48) across Lake Pontchartrain and on Madam J (J120) from New Orleans to Gulfport MS. Both great, fast boats. I’m looking for offshore passage making experience and want to learn as much as I can. Planning on cruising in my retirement with my wife. She is also interesting to doing some cruising as well. 60 year old male in good health. ASA 101, 103,104 certificates.
