Hi, I am a keen 73 year old sailor. have been sailing on and off over the years with much love and gratitude. Have so far completed 6,484 nm - 85% offshore, Atlantic and Med. Completed the ARC Atlantic rally in 2007 as watch leader. The Horta, Azores Mahina Expedition to Cork, Ireland in 2008. Currently, a total of 187 night hours. Done local WIORA racing in Clifden and west coast of Ireland.Some 'racing' (Blue Cup Regatta), in Greece and Med sailing in 2012 whilst based in Gibralter studying for day and coastal skipper certs. Have done the personal survival techniques course in Gib and obtained the short range cert also. Obtained Day and Coastal certs in Gib in 2012. Now studying (online) for my yacht masters. However, been out of the water for some time due to work and travel. Now retired and sailing to catch up! Recently crewed on a Lagoon 42 catamaran delivery from Les Sables D'lonne to Hamble (Force 6) Great voyage. Still much to learn and absorb, so would welcome some support in that. Active, fit and healthy. Non smoker. Yoga teacher. Easy re food preferences. Good sense of humour and like working as a team. Reasonable cook and do a mean curry! Enjoy most activities above and below water. | |
