| SAILING BACKGROUND: Grew up in eastern NC and sailed in Oriental and Beaufort. Piloted my own Southern Cross 31 to the Caribbean via Bermuda and crusied for 1 year (pre GPS, used a sextant). Recently crewed on an OPO delivery (Jan 2019) 750 miles from Beaufort, NC to Grand Bahamas on a C&C 40. In May/June of 2019 I crewed on a Jeanneau sun odyssey 45 from Puerto Rico to Scotland via Horta and Cork. Total miles 4,200. In November 2021 - crew member on an Island Packet 485 from Solomans, MD to Tortola - Caribbean 1500 February through April 2022 - round trip Beaufort, NC to Bahamas as captain on my Valiant 40 - approximately 2400 miles SAILING GOALS: More ocean miles on my own boat (Valiant 40) and others worldwide.
