I am seeking cruising or racing opportunities as crew or watch leader from May 2024. I currently hold RYA Yachtmaster Theory and Coastal Skipper. I am a reliable, proficient coastal cruising skipper and boat owner with cruising and racing experience gained mainly around the East and South Coast of England. Further afield, I have chartered for 10+ years in Greece, Croatia and Turkey, completed a number of channel crossings, and sailed across Biscay as a Watchleader in 2020. I have been a member of Medway Yacht Club for c.15 years, from where my wife and I sail our Hunter Horizon 26 most weekends in the Summer (mileage not included above). In addition to RYA Yachtmaster Theory and Coastal Skipper, I hold RYA First Aid, VHF Radio and PB2. Just as important, I am a fit ex rugby player and rower with a good sense of humour and who enjoys life most when I am working or socialising as part of a team or crew. A career break (most recently a Bursar at a leading independent prep school), gives me the time and opportunity to be available for longer passages, races or deliveries.
