I am a healthy and active 59 year old retired executive. I am married with two college-age daughters. I spend my time since retirement mountain biking, skiing, hiking, and travelling. My wife and I currently live in Vermont, USA but have travelled extensively and lived in the Stockholm, Sweden area for 5 years. I am a relaxed and calm person who is easy to engage with and does not get excited easily. I love the outdoors, music, reading, and engaging with people who come from different backgrounds and with different life experiences! I have spent significant time travelling so I am very comfortable around people from many backgrounds and cultures. . On the sailing front I am a former owner of a Najad 360 which we sailed in the Baltic for 5 years while living in Sweden so have extensive coastal experience. Since I retired and living back in the US I have taken some formal courses (ASA 101-104) and done some volunteer crew and bareboat skippering. In December 2021 I crossed the Atlantic on a Najad 390 with a crew of 2 (Canaries to Cape Verde) and 3 (Cape Verde to Grenada). In 2022 I bare-boated in the BVIs with just my wife and me. I can easily handle solo watches and handle all boat duties. Looking for a relaxed but safety conscious crew that likes to have fun while sailing and covering some distances and exploring interesting places! My health is great and I'm a non-smoker but do enjoy the social beer now and then. Particularly interested in passage making in warmish weather. | |
