I am a competent experienced captain, watch leader and crewmate in excellent health and fitness. When not sailing, I split my time between my winter home in Sarasota Florida and my summer home in Åhus Sweden. I am a US citizen with a permanent residence permit from Sweden which is valid in the EU. I am a retired mechanical engineer, entrepreneur and business owner. I have no restrictions on time, health or voyage. Most of my voyages have been continuous 1500+ nm over multiple sailing periods with the same boats in the North Sea, Baltic, east and west coasts of the North Atlantic, Caribbean and Mediterranean. I have owned 35 ft coastal cruisers based in the Baltic and have restored a magnificent wooden Nordic Folkboat in 2018 at my home in Sweden.. I am affable, cautiously relaxed, open minded, handy and knowledgeable of all mechanical and electrical systems on sailboats. I prefer to eat fish and vegetarian meals.
