Here is already a short teaser of who we are or what you may expect:
We are Ann & Thierry, a couple from Belgian nationality and world citizens.
Both of us are licensed skippers with Dutch and Spanish equivalent of RYA Yachtsman Offshore.
Thierry has already four Atlantic Crossings to his credit and for myself I already have two. We both sailed several parts of the world: the Caribbean, the Mediterranean and the Pacific.
Our last Atlantic crossing dates from 2019 ( just before restrictions of the pandemic). It was on a Catamaran Soana 47 from Fountaine Pajot. The owners were novices and we helped with the preparation and the first stretch of their world tour.
As world travellers we have a broad knowledge of different cultures and are fluent in several languages (French, English, Dutch, Spanish, German, Italian). Thierry lived 12 years in the Canary Islands and has been a manager for three years in a sailing school. So Spanish is at the level of his native language.
As epicureans we enjoy good food and through our many trips around the world we have opened up to the qualities of international cuisine.
We are both quite resourceful and can easily handle all kinds of situations, even stressful ones. Thierry is very handy (he is been called Mc Gyver by his friends, family and sailing fellows).
Enjoying life in all simplicity, positively minded, we both have a very good sense of humor.
We like to go through life with a smile on our face.
