Currently, in Clare, Ireland. Last year, 2023, I completed my second transatlantic from Portugal to Santa Lucía and up to Sant Martin with the new owner. I'm currently considering sailing opportunities for the winter months from the Med., to the Caribbean and back. About me, I enjoy fixing things. I am a qualified electrician, and I have a degree in psychology. I've been renovating a house for the last 4 years in Ireland. In my free time I like to meet friends, play music, surf and hike. In terms of open ocean sailing, I completed an Atlantic crossing from las Palmas to Tortola 10 years ago. it took 20 days, it was all downwind sailing with the typical easterly trades. Just completed my second transit, it was more challenging than the 1st, but loved every moment of it too. Also, I sailed from Eastbourne in the UK to La Coruna and Portugal, we all got along splendidly. We sailed on a Doufeux 42. We left from Eastbourne and arrived in La Coruna after 4 and half days, then on to Portugal making many stops along the North and West coast of Spain. I sailed from Costa Rica to Ecuador on a 42ft Gib Sea. In total I spent 6 weeks on the boat (Amigo) with the longest spell at sea being a week while doing a straight hop from the South of Costa Rica to Bahia De Caraques, Ecuador. It was a very enjoyable time. Some of my hobbies include yoga, song writing and singing, sailing and gardening. References available by request. I am an easy going person who feels at home on the sea. Fair winds, andrewhassett150atgmail.com | |
