The wind and the water flow through my veins like blood. Ever since I was a child, I have always felt one with the wind and the waves. My parents are two die hard windsurfers who spent their lives traveling the coast in their van chasing hurricanes. How could I not fall in love with this lifestyle? When the wind whistles and the waves angrily crash down, I feel a calling; an urge to return to the place I belong. It was over 10 years ago when I started sailing and I quickly fell in love. It was the sense of adventure and feeling of freedom that I just could not get enough! I am currently studying at the University of British Columbia (when I'm on land haha) and during the summers am a high-performance race coach with sailors competing at the national level. | |
