Nationality: | Australia |
Currently based in: | Canberra, Australia |
Looking for: | South America; South Pacific Islands; Western Europe & North Atlantic Islands; |
Experience: | 1800 ocean miles / 200 coastal miles |
My full credentials are on LinkedIn as resident of both Canberra (Australia) and Huelgoat (France). I'm semi-retired, and when not working (mostly post disaster) I can be found in Canberra (mid October to mid April) and the rest of the time in Huelgoat, and otherwise travelling between the two, one way or another - preferably sailing! I have to confess I no longer enjoy racing so much (a hard / spartan Sydney to Hobart in a military crew cured that) and prefer cruising. My ambitions are for: - An Atlantic Crossing - US Mainland to anywhere in Europe - A Tasman crossing - Oz mainland to Kiwi mainland - NZ Bay of Islands - An English Channel crossing - Along the Baltic Coast or island hopping Sweden / Finland (but only n summer) - Island hopping off the coast of Brittany - Summer crossing of the Bay of Biscay - Brittany to Northern Spain - The Beagle Channel - Chile / Argentine - even in winter.. I own / sail a small catamaran (preferably during 'small boat alerts') and have ambitions of owning a 10m yacht when I've found a suitable cost-effective mooring in Brittany (France). I could be a better heavy weather helmsperson with patient help..... | |
