I am an experienced dinghy sailor, having spent all of my teenage years racing dinghies at everything from club level to two Cadet Class world championships. Currently I am studying Marine Operations at Warsash Maritime Academy and training to attain my MCA Officer of the Watch ticket. As part of my training so far I have spent four months at sea understudying the deck officers on a container ship. I have now participated in three yacht deliveries and my understanding of yacht systems and the demands of being at sea is rapidly developing. I have worked as an assistant in two professional kitchens and am a keen cook, so I am more than capable of mucking in with galley duties and am no stranger to cleaning either. Sailing aside I spend my time trail running with Petra (my chocolate lab) and planning improbable endurance challenges. I work as an assistant in two professional kitchens and am a keen cook, so I am more than capable of mucking in with galley duties and am no stranger to cleaning either.
