[ active ] Copenhagen to Plymouth Denmark to United Kingdom ref 16138

wants 3 crew for Lumen, Grand Soleil 45, m.

From Copenhagen, Denmark to Plymouth, United Kingdom.

August 2027 to August 2027.

This should be a fantastic trip as we leave Copenhagen, sail through the Baltic, transit through the Kiel Canal and then head south down the North Sea and into the English Channel. If time allows we may call in to the Channel Islands but two weeks gives us plenty of time to allow for any poor weather to pass through so we can be flexible. The boat is 100% prepared with a deep 3rd reef as well as a stay sail and storm jib so we should be able to cope with most conditions, generally we will sail in winds up to F7 depending on sea state and shelter options. The boat is quick and you will need to be fit enough and able to operate it in possibly demanding conditions, this could include foredeck work and maintaining a proper watch at night to ensure everyone stays safe. As preparation you will need to be able to come for a trial sail from Plymouth at a convenient date prior to the sail so you can learn the systems, roles and meet the other crew. We will conduct reefing and MOB drills as well as general sailing so this should be fun day and I will provide lunch for everyone. The boat has 2 doubles aft as well as a double in the saloon available so we should be able to make sure that everyone has the right accommodation sorted for them prior to leaving. All expenses are shared but these will be kept as low as possible and we will agree the food menu for the 2 weeks prior to leaving so I can sort it all ready for the departure. As a commercial skipper I know how to run a boat and make it an enjoyable experience so I look forward to hearing from you and this should be a great opportunity to build sea miles and experience as well as having a great sailing experience.
