[ closed ] Plymouth to Stockholm United Kingdom to Sweden ref 14921
From Plymouth, United Kingdom to Stockholm, Sweden.
July 2024 to July 2024.
Due to a crew couple now unable to attend due to unforeseen circumstances I am looking for two experienced crew to join us for hopefully a very enjoyable cruise from Plymouth to Stockholm taking up to 16 days which will allow a stop over in Amsterdam weather permitting. The plan will be to hopefully not sail more than one night at sea in a row and should mean just 6 overnight passages with a variety of stops to break the journey up. We leave on the 13th July and need to be there at the latest by the 29th July.
What roles/experience are needed (Crew 1): Watch-leader
What roles/experience are needed (Crew 2): Watch-leader
Sailing with a Rally: Independent
I'm looking for (gender): either
Cabins/Sleeping : shared cabin-own bunk
Smoking on board: non-smokers only
Total people on board: 5
Crew roles: I need two experienced crew to lead a watch so we have two up on 4 hour watches through the passage. This means you will need to be competent to help sail the boat in a range of wind strengths as well as at night. In addition we will take turns to cook and share any additional duties. The boat is quite powerful so you will need to be able to handle lines under heavy load and have good safety awareness to keep yourself and other crew safe. The North Sea can give difficult conditions so ideally you have good remedies or don't suffer sea sickness at all. With three cabins there is good accommodation and we will use the saloon as well for additional berths. I am happy to pay all onboard costs for food and any marina fees, travel to and from the boat is at your own cost as well as any meals out/drinks. Whilst at sea we won't be drinking alcohol and please no smokers or vaping. If you have a good sense of humour, good previous overnight sailing experience, are easy to get along with and want to add to your miles or increase your experience then I would love to hear from you. Hopefully this will be a great trip and we will have a lot of fun enjoying the experience. To make clearing the EU and entering the UK as easy as possible you will ideally have a UK or EU passport. There can be opportunities to come and meet us and see the boat/sail if logisitcs and timings work as we leave outbound on the 13th July.
Money: captain pays all expenses
Travel to and from boat: crew pays
