[ closed ] Copenhagen to Plymouth Denmark to United Kingdom ref 14813

wants 2 crew for Luna, Dufour 44 P, m.

From Copenhagen, Denmark to Plymouth, United Kingdom.

August 2024 to August 2024.

This summers cruise in the Baltic ends with a relatively quick return back from Copenhagen to our home port of Plymouth UK. Much of the trip will be sailing with a number of overnight passages. Crew change day is the Sunday 18th August with my family flying back and one of the new crew flying in so this is the day to arrive and get settled in. We will then leave first thing on the Monday to go down to the Kiel canal and then once through we will sail around the Netherlands and then down through Dover Straits and then along the South Coast towards the Westcountry. Stops will depend on weather and progress as I have to be back at the latest by the end of Monday 26th August. Hopefully the weather will be kind and allow us make good progress and enjoy a few ports along the way.

What roles/experience are needed (Crew 1): Watch-leader

What roles/experience are needed (Crew 2): Watch-leader

Sailing with a Rally: Independent

I'm looking for (gender): either

Cabins/Sleeping : own cabin-own bunk

Smoking on board: non-smokers only

Total people on board: 4

Crew roles: I need two crew to support watches so we have two up on 4 hour watches through the passage. This means you will need to be competent to help sail the boat in a range of wind strengths as well as at night. In addition we will take turns to cook and share any additiional duties. The boat is quite powerful so you will need to be able to handle lines under heavy load and have good safety awarness to keep yourself and other crew safe. The North Sea can give difficult conditions so ideally you have good remedies or don't suffer sea sickness at all. With three cabins there is good accommodation and we will use the saloon as well for additional berths so you can have a cabin if you want but under way it maybe flexible as to where you sleep depending on your choice. I am happy to pay all onboard costs for food and any marina fees, travel to and from the boat is at your own cost as well as any meals out/drinks. Whilst at sea we won't be drinking alcohol and please no smokers or vaping. If you have a good sense of humour, good previous overnight sailing experience, are easy to get along with and want to add to your miles or increase your experience then I would love to hear from you. Hopefully this will be a great trip and we will have a lot of fun enjoying the experience. To make clearing the EU and entering the UK as easy as possible you will ideally have a UK or EU passport. There can be opportunities to come and meet us and see the boat/sail if logisitcs and timings work as we leave outbound on the 13th July.

Money: captain pays all expenses

Travel to and from boat: crew pays
