[ closed ] World Circumnavigation New Zealand to New Zealand ref 2491

Maurice Cross wants 3 crew for ORIENT, Beneteau Oceanis 473, 14m.

From Auckland, New Zealand to Auckland, New Zealand.

January 2024 to January 2024.

NEW ZEALAND COASTAL SAILING and BEYOND. Experienced skipper with well-appointed forty-seven-foot keel yacht looking for crew to cruise the Hauraki Gulf and the Northeastern New Zealand coast. With a longer-term view to establish a crew to voyage offshore to the Pacific Islands and beyond. LONG TERM PLAN. To circumnavigate the globe from East to West, with Auckland New Zealand as a starting and ending point. So as to avoid Cyclone and Hurricane seasons the departure from New Zealand would be June or July and return May or June the following year. Calling into approximately 25 ports and covering 26000 nautical miles. This trip plan will involve approximately 210 sailing days and 130 days in port. From NZ we will sail to either northeastern Australia or Vanuatu then across north of Australia into the Indian Ocean and on to South Africa. Sailing across the Atlantic Ocean to the Caribbean Sea and on to Panama and the Canal into the Pacific Ocean and continuing on to NZ. There will be many stops in both familiar and exotic places throughout the voyage. With the majority of the route within the tropics and sailing in favorable trade winds this will generally be a great sailing adventure. However, there may well be times when we may encounter adverse weather conditions.
