[ Cancelled ] Vendee Pursuit 2016 France to Canary Islands ref 6614

Spartan Ocean Racing & Training wants 12 crew for Challenger, Whitbread/Volvo 60, 18m.

From Les'Sables d'Olonne, France to Lanzarote, Canary Islands.

November 2018 to November 2018.

The Vendee Globe will set off in November with the 27 participants heading off down the Atlantic as they start their solo, non-stop, round the world odyssey. We will be taking our Volvo 60 'Challenger' to the start line to be part of the spectator fleet which in it's self will be very special but then unbelievably once the start gun has gone and the line is clear we are going to cross the line our selves and set off South 1000Nm to Lanzarote in the fleet's wake. While Challenger is fast she is not as quick as the latest generation IMOCA 60's but if one of them misses a trick who knows we could even put our nose forward on them! We will sail the race course as far as the Canary Islands before peeling off and taking advantage of the comforts of port whilst the Vendee Globe fleet settles into three further months at sea.

Spartan Ocean Racing & Training is currently based in Canada
