[ Cancelled ] UK to Carribean ARC+ United Kingdom to Grenada ref 14908

Simon Ridley wants 2 crew for Gertha 5, Swan 46, 14m.

From Ipswich, United Kingdom to , Grenada.

September 2024 to December 2024.

An invite to all crew either new or old to me. Leaving UK early September 2024 heading canaries , two hops , either North Spain or Madeira. Boat will then rest for a few weeks. Will them join ARC+ , the schedule and times can be found in World Cruising web site. Depart Grand Canary early November heading for Cape Verde, a quick stop , onwards Verde to Grenada. Then an option of a month cruise Grenada to St Lucia. World ARC 2025 Carribean to Australia is a further option. I am a veteran of Atlantic sailing and have sailed this trip multiple times. Boat is well sorted, the last 6 months have seen most systems updated.

What roles/experience are needed (Crew 1): does not matter

What roles/experience are needed (Crew 2): does not matter

Sailing with a Rally: ARC – Atlantic Rally for Cruisers

I'm looking for (gender): either

Cabins/Sleeping : shared cabin-own bunk

Smoking on board: non-smokers only

Total people on board: 2--4

Crew roles: The more experience the better for prospective crew. However I sail single handed, so tons of experience is not crucial. The desire to sail and enjoy the trip is important. An equal share of cooking and keeping watch, plus a bit of cleaning. Navigation is an option, but I have that covered. Boat maintenance is an option , but again I have it covered. The ARC requires at least one crew to have sailed on boat before event, hence the necessity of at least one sailing UK leg out. Option to sail UK to Canary.

Money: expenses shared equally

Travel to and from boat: crew pays
