[ Cancelled ] TransAtlantic Antigua to the UK via the Azores Antigua & Barbuda to United Kingdom ref 2508

LV Yachting wants 6 crew for Northern Child, Swan 51 , 16m.

From Jolly Harbour, Antigua & Barbuda to Portsmouth, United Kingdom.

May 2014 to June 2014.

Northern Child is a very well known professionally run Swan 51. She has competed 24 transatlantics she is a safe and comfortable yacht on the Ocean. She enables crew the chance to experience the thrill of crossing an Ocean whilst under the supervision of the professional crew. The Transatlantic West to East starting in Antigua via the Azores to the UK is approximately 4000nm. This Tranatlantic crossing is challenging and varied. This trip can be divided into 2 legs and you can decide to join for the whole crossing or just one leg. Leg 1 - Antigua to the Azores - approx 2600nm Each year the weather is different but typically our route would take us North up to about 30 North where we would adjust our course to the East skirting the Azores high pressure system. This passage is approximately 14 to 17 days and is dominated by the Azores high. Leg 2 - Azores to the UK - approx 1250nm After a stopover in the Azores we head North East. In June the conditions can be variable with gales from the west or light winds from the North East. This leg can be very exciting and is takes about 8 to 10 days.

LV Yachting is currently based in United Kingdom
