From Papeete, French Polynesia to Opua, New Zealand.

October 2024 to October 2024.

Owner and Captain Tim Richmond is looking for one crewmember with substantial open water experience to complete a crew of three for an October passage from Papeete, Tahiti to Opua Marina, New Zealand. The vessel, Makara, is a Morris 46 in excellent condition, properly fitted out for the voyage with safety equipment and hardware. Expenses for the voyage are included. The starting date is planned for the second week of October. Crew should plan for up to one month on Makara including contingency time for weather. The skipper and first mate/cook have been sailing for 13 years including North Atlantic crossings, New England/Caribbean passages and a Panama to Marquesas/Tahiti voyage. A travel stipend can be considered.

Tim is currently based in Zurich, Switzerland

What roles/experience are needed (Crew 1): Watch-leader

Sailing with a Rally: None

I'm looking for (gender): either

Cabins/Sleeping : own cabin-own bunk

Smoking on board: non-smokers only

Total people on board: 3

Crew roles: Solo watch. Excellent sailing and boat handling abilities. Previous multi-day and night ocean sailing experience. Boat maintenance. A couple sharing a berth would also be possible.

Money: captain pays all expenses

Travel to and from boat: negotiable
