[ Cancelled ] South Pacific Odyssey Leg 11 Fiji to New Zealand ref 3653

Dan Bower wants 6 crew for Skyelark of London, Skye 51, 16m.

From Port Denerau, Fiji to Opua, New Zealand.

November 2016 to December 2016.

Fiji, Vanuatu, New Caledonia, New Zealand After joining Skyelark in Port Denerau on Viti Levu, we will set sail for Vanuatu. This 450 mile passage should take 3 days and then there will be time for cruising through the islands, before moving on to New Caledonia. Many isolated communities exist here and the locals are happy to welcome yachts and trade for locally grown fruit and veg, as well as lobsters and other fish. One of the highlights of this area is the volcano on Tanna - there is nothing quite like sitting on the crater rim in the dark, watching a live volcano shoot burning lava into the air! From here we will set sail for New Caledonia This is an overseas French territory and as such good French cuisine can be enjoyed ashore. There is a magnificent backdrop of mountains here as well as golden beaches and some of the best reef diving in the world. The main base is Noumea which is where we will provision and prepare for the 950 mile passage to New Zealand. The timings for setting off on this passage will be weather dependant, and should take around 6 days. Opua will be our destination in the Bay of Islands to the North. New Zealand needs no introduction here.... £4200 Please email for more information. http://skye51.com
