wants 1 crew for Dawn Chorus, Southerly 42, 12.8m.

From Charleston, United States to Lagos, Portugal.

February 2017 to June 2017.

We began the trip in Annapolis but one crew member has had to go home due to a family emergency. We are now in Oriental, moving south to Florida, using the ICW and outside before sailing to the Bahamas for March and April. We are then planning to join ARC Europe in Bermuda, sailing to the Azores and eventually Portugal. Dawn Chorus sailed across from the UK with the ARC 2015 and spent last summer in the USA. Yachtmaster skipper (age 64) with two Atlantic crossings, including ARC Europe in 2013. Preferably looking for experienced crew, particularly for the long passages, but willing to hear from anybody interested in any parts of the journey. There will be a dog on board so would need to animal friendly.

What roles/experience are needed (Crew 1): does not matter

Sailing with a Rally: ARC Europe

I'm looking for (gender): either

Cabins/Sleeping : own cabin-own bunk

Smoking on board: non-smokers only

Total people on board: 4

Crew roles: All crew will have to be involved in all tasks, including watch keeping and cooking, but those with practical and mechanical skills very welcome. Skipper looks after boat-related expenses, but dockage (using quite a few marinas in the cold weather), fuel and food shared equally by those on board.

Money: expenses shared equally

Travel to and from boat: crew pays
