Experienced, mature crew, preferably based in Scotland for logistics purposes, and preferably also with experience in heavy weather tactics, night sailing, passage planning, offshore sailing etc, required to assist the owner to sail from Ayrshire, west of Scotland, to Portugal, via Ireland; avoiding Biscay by initially sailing south west from the Cork/Kinsale area. Strictly non-smokers/non-vapers only. The boat is a comfortable, classic, blue water Vindo 40 ('40' relates to the sail plan, not the boat length, the boat is 31ft LOA) and has AIS, EPIRB, Autohelm, Liferaft, Chartplotter, Navionics etc onboard. Owner paying for all onboard expenses: food, fuel, marina fees etc; crew responsible for their own on shore expenditure. The actual departure and end dates are dependent upon finding suitable crew, and the weather of course, but the boat is ready now so hoping that departure is at the earliest. The trip is perhaps best suited to those with no serious time restrictions in respect of their availability; retirees perhaps. Crew can commit to the first leg only from Ayrshire to Ireland, in which case offshore experience is not such an issue.
