Adam Spiegel wants 1 crew for SV Saltair, Hallberg-Rassy 57, m.

From Baie De Marigot, Saint Martin to Newport RI, United States.

December 2024 to .

We are looking for one additional experienced offshore crew to join us for a passage from Saint Martin to Newport RI on our well-sailed Hallberg-Rassy 57. You will be our fourth adult crew (two owners plus one additional experienced crew) and we are also helped by our 11 year old son. You should plan to arrive in Saint Martin on May 12th. We will spend the 13th and 14th reviewing safety and boat-handing procedures and equipment and provisioning so that we will be ready to depart on May 15th, weather dependent. We are planning a few day stop in Bermuda on the way and expect to be in Newport no later than May 31st. We are a fun, easy-going crew and look for similar people. We all take turns with cooking and cleanup, making the most of our well-equipped galley. Our son does schooling underway, and we spend our time listening to podcasts, books on tape, hanging out watching the stars and enjoying the peace of the open ocean. You will share a cabin with our other crew. We will pay all costs aboard, you will pay for your round trip travel and any shore-side meal or entertainment costs. Non-smokers, please. Note that we are planning on sailing with the World ARC next January (2025) and will be looking for crew for portions of our adventure into the Pacific. If you were interested, the passage to Newport would be a good opportunity to get to know us and the boat.
