Hello. I began to sail with my father when I was 7 years old. I love: windsurfing, Vaurien, 420, Hobie Cat and cruisers. Also: sailplanes, scuba diving, mountain bike, snowboard and motorbikes. I am Mechanical Engineer and I set up my own company when I was 28. I am 43 now and sold that company one year ago. As I am not married, I don´t have any children and I don´t have to pay a loan for a house, I decided to buy a good sailboat and go with her to sail around the world. But I am entrepreneur and I love science and technology, so I want to keep in contact with them. Thus, I want to cooperate with scientific and technological projects while sailing. At present I am talking to: technologial companies, Research Centres, Universities, etc. I am offering my boat as a test platform for new technologies validation and scientific operations base. My crew and me will be "Planktonauts" for this beautiful oceanographic project: http://planktonplanet.org/ I am also talking to the biggest Technological Centre of Spain for testing a new technology called "Solar Face" (composite material that integrates photovoltaic solar cells) These are just 2 examples, I want to do more things and I am open to any proposal. I call this project: "Sailing Living Lab" and I need salilors who can complement me. For example: a web programmer. We will share the direct costs: food, water, ports, visas. I will pay the rest of the costs: insurance, antifoulding, spare parts, repairings... So that, I prefer a doctor, with few sailing experience, that could propose me to cooperate in a research project with a hospital, than an experienced sailor with no scientific or technological experience and contacts. As I have just bought the boat I am going to test her this summer in the Balears with my friends. In fall we will go to the Canary Islands (I want to paint her there and to finish the oceanic tune up) in winter we will start and go to: Cape Verdes, Caribbean, Panama, Galapagos, Marquesas, Tuamotu, Tahiti, New Zealand, Australia... I think that I will be sailing for 18-24 months.
