[ Cancelled ] Sailing with Pelagos in French Polynesia French Polynesia to French Polynesia ref 7604

wants 2 crew for Pelagos, Jeanneau Sunkiss , 14m.

From , French Polynesia to , French Polynesia.

July 2017 to September 2017.

Greetings sailors! Now is your chance to come and experience the isolated and beautiful islands of French Polynesia. You can join in the period between the 1st of July and mid September 2017, where Pelagos will be cruising the Tuamotu atolls, Marquises and Tahiti. The route has yet not been planned, since we sail where ever wind and weather takes us. We are already 3 persons onboard, and seek 1 maybe 2 crewmembers to join our adventure for a period of at least one month. The boat you will be sailing on is the well-tested and renowned Jeanneau Sunkiss 47. She is fully equipped with everything necessary for long term sailing, including; Water-maker, solar panels, generator, VHF, EPIRB, radar, satellite telephone, Viking Pro Liferaft and much more. Now you might just think: Who are those fellas? We are two Danish sailors who have the pleasure of sailing Pelagos from Martinique in Caribbean to Tahiti in the Pacific during a period of 10 months. First of is Christian with the beard: 20 years old, just finished gymnasium in the summer 2016, went from school on to a 4 month period of military duty, and then straight to Martinique in December 2016 to start his adventure on Pelagos. He has sailing experience from being a sea scout in his younger years and then from sailing with family and friends. Next is Anders: 21 years old, finished gymnasium two years ago and have since been shifting between working and sailing. Last year he sailed for 5 months on a few different boats in the Caribbean, and took afterwards a Yachtmaster of 3rd degree and a SRC-certificate. He then flew to Gran Canaria and sailed across the Atlantic to Martinique where he joined Pelagos for the trip to French Polynesia. Who are you? You are between 18-28 years old, open-minded, positive, energetic, good physical shape and ready to help out with the daily chores. Sailing experience is not a requirement, as long as you are willing to learn. However it would help if you had a little experience in being at sea and don’t get seasick. You like to meet new people, snorkel, go for hikes and explore the wonderful islands we visit. So what is important for us is to have a good time and experience French Polynesia with some good people, with who we share the same state of mind. Unfortunately there has to be an economical aspect since it isn’t free to go sailing like this. However we don’t make a living on this, so the prices to join us are rather fair. Therefore the daily contribution to the boat is 15€ and then we split equally whatever living and cruising costs there is in terms of food, drinks, fuel, immigration/harbor fees etc. Does this sound like your kind of sailing adventure? If the answer is “yes” then go ahead and send us a little information about yourself, why you want to come and a picture: Facebook: Anders Bonde Holt or Christian Tophøj Email: [email protected] [email protected] And please do not write us on the website since we won’t be checking that as often…. If you have any questions, feel free to ask and we will reply as fast as we can. We are currently in Panama and sail to Galapagos no later than 9th of March where we stay for three weeks and then head on to French Polynesia. Looking forward to hear from you! Peace…
